Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex closes Wednesday on negative note

In a session marked by bearish sentiment, the stock market exhibited a 0.3% downturn, settling at 8895.5 points, with a diminished trading volume of 2.3 million dinars. Consequently, Tunindex scaled back its annual performance to a modest increase of +9.7%, the analysis provided by broker Tunisie Valeurs. OfficePlast shares yielded the most robust performance though reporting no transactions. Shares of this manufacturer of office and school supplies gained 4.5%, reaching 1.170 Tunisian dinars. Also displaying positive movement, SOMOCER shares exhibited a marginal uptick of 1.3%, concluding the session at 0.760 Tunisian dinars. It is worth noting that in the course of the current year, this ceramic-tile specialist has demonstrated a lacklustre performance with a decline of -3.8%. SOPAT, however, experienced the least favourable performance of the session. The poultry producer's shares tumbled by 4.3% to 1.800 Tunisian dinars with a traded volume of 5,000 dinars. Similarly, the session closed on a negative note for SAM shares. The shares of the office furniture supplier dipped 3.2% to 3.630 Tunisian dinars, mobilising capital inflow of 94,000 dinars. SFBT emerged as the most active shares. The brewery's shares depreciated by 1.4% to 14.200 Tunisian dinars, contributing to the market with a total of 490,000 dinars in capital.
