The last lunar eclipse of 2023 is due to take place on October 28, 2023. The eclipse will be very partial and discreet, seen by several regions of the world: Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, North America, most of South America, the Atlantic Pacific, the Indian Ocean, the Arctic and the Antarctic, the Tunis Science City said in a press release. "The eclipse will begin at 7.01pm (local time), when it will enter penumbra. Its maximum will be at 9.14 pm (local time), when the moon takes on a dark indentation that gives it a curious appearance. The Moon will emerge from penumbra at 11.26 pm (local time)," according to the same source. To watch the whole event, a special evening will be organised on the occasion at the City. In addition to telescopic observations of the eclipse stages and the giant planets Jupiter and Saturn, a lecture entitled "Partial lunar eclipse on October 28, 2023" will be given for the general public.
