TUNIS: Club Sportif Sfaxien defeated Etoile Sportive du Sahel 2-1 at a Tunisia's soccer Ligue 1 Championship phase day-9 game played on Saturday afternoon in Sousse. The home side opened the scoring in the 9th minute through Hamza Jelassi's penalty, before Sfaxien equalised through Baraket Hmidi in the 18th minute. Youssef Becha then doubled the lead and scored the winner in the 21st minute. The referee sent off CSS' Guinean Fodé Camara in the 36th minute. CS Sfaxien moved up to third on 12 points, level with Stade Tunisien, while Etoile du Sahel remain second from bottom in fifth place with nine points.
