A son of Zabré offers sanitary equipment worth more than 2 million FCFA to the health district

Ouagadougou: Gnanyère Yabré, a son of Zabré living in Italy, handed over on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, to the Zabré health district, health equipment worth approximately 2,400,000 FCFA. The Zabré health district received health equipment from Gnanyère Yabré, general manager of SIYAGO Sarl (La Sagesse Divine), with an estimated cost of around 2,400,000 FCFA. The donation includes, among other things, mattresses, pulse oximeters, nose masks, office tables, chairs, gel, etc. The handover ceremony took place in the district in the presence of administrative, customary and religious authorities, friends from Ouagadougou and Italy. "My wife and son were saved thanks to the staff of the Zabré hospital in the 80s. Also, I returned to the country in 2011 and I fell ill. I was given treatment while lying on a bench. These are some of the memories that motivated this action" the donor said. He says the well-being of the people of Zabré remains his priority and prays every day that God will give him the means and t he will to do more. According to the Prefect, president of the special delegation of Zabré (PDS), Alain B. Bassono, the donor should be congratulated and encouraged because this is not his first donation. "Gnanyère Yabré is on her umpteenth donation, I was told behind the scenes. The donor's previous actions as well as that of this morning are in close line with the policy of our highest authorities: resilience. I can also say without being mistaken that you have understood the meaning of decentralization, supporting the State in your municipalities. We sincerely thank the donor. The PDS continued by saluting the solidarity that is recognized by the Bissa, its joke parents. He urges them to continue in this direction, especially in the direction of positive solidarity, that is to say, solidarity which must lead all Burkinabe towards well-being. After the symbolic handover of the equipment, the representative of the district chief physician, Doctor Souleymane Sawadogo, spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries to thank the donor. He said he was driven by a feeling of joy. 'Thinking about health structures means thinking about oneself. The need is constant at the level of any health structure. A donation of this kind strengthens our capacity to offer quality care. We are especially happy to know that in the batch of equipment, there are pulse oximeters, a device that allows us to know if a patient's breathing is normal or not. These are devices that interest us a lot,' he told the assembly. Let us recall that to better symbolize this delivery of equipment, the donor also offered 10 mango plants to the district and 10 others to the special delegation. Source : Burkina Information Agency
