Beja-Palestine: Group of women support Gaza by selling their personal belongings under ‘Emptying the Cupboards’ initiative

A group of women from the governorate of Beja, launched, Sunday, an initiative called «Emptying the Cupboards» through which they decided to sell their belongings to the public. This included handicraft items, leather objects, cosmetics, old and new clothes, accessories, candles, jewelry and other miscellaneous products. They donated the money to the Tunisian Red Crescent so that they provide Palestinians in Gaza with financial assitance. President of the «Voice of the Youth» association, Imen Jabri, told TAP that «Emptying the Cupboards» initiative is a collective initiative which started with the idea of a group of women who expressed willingness to make cash donations to Gazans by selling things they do not use for a nominal price. Jabri praised the humanitarian commitment and volunteerism shown by other local associations to participate in the initiative for the benefit of the Palestinian People.
