Bouderbala calls for restoration of trust between Parliament and citizens

Speaker of the Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP), Brahim Bouderbala, stressed the importance of developing a bond of trust between citizens and the parliamentary institution. At a meeting held on Wednesday by the General Legislation Committee, Bouderbala stressed the need to familiarise himself with all aspects of the issues on the Committee's agenda, with a view to meeting the aspirations of citizens. According to a parliamentary press release, the meeting of the General Legislation Committee focused on legislative priorities, in particular the revision of article 411 of the Commercial Code relating to bounced cheques. In this regard, the Committee Chairman indicated that a list of the parties to be heard on this subject had been drawn up. The Committee's priorities for action over the coming period also include the High Council of the Judiciary, the Constitutional Court and motions submitted by citizens, adds the press release.
