Deputy NHIA CEO pays working visit to Bodi NHIS office

Mr Frederick Gilbert Addy, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in charge of Finance and Investment at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has paid a working visit to Sefwi-Bodi National Health Insurance Scheme District office as part of his familiarisation tour of the country. Addressing the staff, he assured them of the Authority's commitment to putting in place appropriate measures to resolve all operational challenges confronting the office. He said: 'I am paying this visit to all the district offices across the region and decided to visit the Bodi office first because I am informed that the Bodi office is the smallest district office in the region but has some peculiar challenges that need to be addressed.' Mr Addy assured the staff that he would do everything in his capacity to resolve those issues to help enhance efficiency in their line of work. 'I want to inform you that the issue of office accommodation and vehicle is being taken up and I will discuss it with my boss, the CEO of th e Authority for immediate action,' he said. The Deputy CEO also promised to strengthen mechanisms to deal with the issue of illegal charges from members of NHIS by health providers, 'because it is becoming a huge challenge for the Scheme and any health provider caught will be sanctioned.'
