President Kais Saied presented a number of officials in the ministries of education and higher education and scientific research with the National Order of Merit for Education and Science in in acknowledgement of their distinguished contribution to promoting education and science.

This was as he chaired Thursday a ceremony held in Carthage to mark Knowledge Day.

Second category:

- Mohamed Mili: Director-General of Examinations at the Ministry of Education

- Jilani Lamloumi: Director-General of Higher Education at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Third category:

- Mohamed Hechmi Louzir: Director-General of Pasteur Institute

- Rached Ben Younes: President of the University of Gafsa

- Cherif Maayati: Director of Belhouan primary school in Béja

The fourth category:

- Adel Dkhil: Director General of the Training and Capacity Building Centre at the Ministry of Education

- Hayet Ben Saleh Ayad: Director General of the Administrative and Financial Inspectorate at the Ministry of Education

- Narjess Ben Lamine Ben Saoud: Director of the National School of Information Sciences in Manouba

- AbdelMoutalib Ouederni: Director of Research Laboratory at the University of Gabés

- Naïma Sablaoui: Director of the Second Chance School at the Ministry of Education.
