Local elections: Campaigning underway in Tunis 1

Local elections candidates Marwa Kessahi (Mourouj 2, Kabaria) and Mehdi Zarrouki (Mohamed Ali neighbourhood in the Imada of Wardia) are carrying on their campaigns on Tuesday, notably through direct contact with citizens and distribution of their election programme leaflets. Kessahi's programme includes among others renovation and infrastructure projects for the region and the construction of a youth centre. The candidate told TAP that she will endeavour to refurbish schools, fit out a culture centre in El Mourjou 2 and spaces for craftswomen to display their products, she told TAP. For his part, Zarrouki affirmed that his programme will focus among others, on fitting out a weekly market, a municipal library and two sports grounds, promising to convert the local health facility into hospital and to create an industrial area.
