The National Committee of Support to the Palestinian Resistance called for a rally next November 29, in observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The annoucement was made as the committee met on Tuesday evening at the seat of the National Union of Tunisian Journalists (French: SNJT). The committee, which includes representatives of national organisations, political parties and civil society organisations, called in a statement for working out differences and pooling efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the rally. The committee also urged general mobilisation and said participation of Tunisians is crucial considering the responsibility weighing on them to contribute to international pressure in a bid to stand by the Palestinian people.
