Parliament passes budget of Ministry of Family, Women, Children, and Elderly

The Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP), on Friday, passed the budget of the Ministry of Family, Women, Children, and Elderly Affairs for 2024, with 133 votes for, 8 votes against and 7 abstentions, during a plenary session held in the presence of Minister Amel Belhaj Moussa. The ministry's budget bill was up by 4% to TND 248.9 million, compared with TND 239 million in 2023. The ministry's budget projects a 16% increase in investment expenditures and an 8% rise in intervention expenditures compared with 2023. Salary expenditures stands at TND 150 million, management expenditures at TND 13.26 million, and intervention expenditures at TND 14.02 million, while investment expenditures are estimated at TND 44.62 million.
