President Kais Saied discusses with Prime Minister progress of gov’t work in economic and social fields

Tunis: The progress made by the government in recent days, particularly in the economic and social fields, was the focus of President Kais Saied's meeting with Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani at Carthage Palace on Monday.

During the meeting, the President of the Republic reiterated his position on the need to rely primarily on national potential, despite the difficulties facing Tunisians. This option has made it possible to overcome many challenges and "the best proof of this is the improvement in the state's financial balances", according to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.

President Kais Saied pointed out that moving forward in this direction with "equal cooperation on the external level will make it possible to respond to the people's demands for a decent life and to preserve the sovereignty of the state and the full independence of national decision".

He stressed that "all State institutions must be at the service of the citizens at all levels and that those who bear responsibility must redouble their efforts and set an example of generosity, abstinence and giving, as well as the duty of discretion and neutrality".

He added that "it is the minds and arms of patriots that build and prosper nations" and that "a firm and sincere determination helps to overcome all kinds of challenges, so that there are never empty wishes or impossibilities", according to the same statement.
