President Kais Saied headed to the Government Palace in Kasbah where he met with Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani on Monday afternoon. During the meeting, a number of draft laws and decrees, which will be presented to the upcoming Cabinet meeting, were discussed. This was followed by another meeting attended by the Prime Minister, Minister of Justice Leila Jaffel and Minister of Finance Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to expedite the establishment of the Criminal Reconciliation Committee in order to recover embezzled funds both domestically and abroad for the benefit of the people. President Saied stressed the importance of those appointed to the committee to thoroughly examine the files presented to them before submitting them to the National Security Council for approval, adjustment or rejection of the amount for reconciliation. "The doors of reconciliation are open to whoever wants to return the people's money in full, and those who chose a path other than reconciliation should bear full responsibility before the judiciary."
