President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed held talks in Rome on Sunday with Head of the National Unity Government Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba, on the sidelines of their participation in the International Conference on Development and Migration.

The meeting highlighted the need to strengthen mechanisms and opportunities for coordination and consultation in order to meet common challenges and deal with a number of issues, including illegal immigration and trafficking of human beings and its impact not only on the two countries but also on the region and the world.

The two parties also discussed ways of developing relations of brotherhood and cooperation between Tunisia and Libya, reads a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
