Stock market starts week in the green

Tunis: The stock market opened the week up by 0.42% at 8,985.96 points on a modest volume of TND 3.1 million, as reported by broker Tunisie Valeurs on Monday.

ASSAD was the session's biggest gainer. The battery accumulator's share price rose by 4.5% to TND 0.700 on a ridiculous flow of TND 3,000.

BNA shares were among the biggest gainers of the session. The public bank's share price rose by 2.7% to TND 8.300. The stock amassed TND 385,000 worth of transactions during the session.

Shares of Attijari Bank topped the trading charts. The private banker's stock closed the week almost stable, feeding the market with capital of TND 1.2 million, or 38% of the trading volume.

Tuninvest's shares recorded the biggest fall of the session. SICAR fell by 4% to TND 9.110 on almost zero volume.

Magasin Général shares ended the week on a gloomy note. The supermarket specialist's shares fell by 3.8% to TND 7.120, generating a meagre flow of TND 3,000.
