Stock market: Tunindex closes Tuesday’s session down (-0.07%)

After ending Monday's session almost in balance, the stock market closed Tuesday's session down. The Tunindex fell by 0.07% to 8914.10 points, according to broker Tunisie Valeurs. Trading volumes remained low, reflecting the summer period, with barely TND 2 million traded during the session. Hannibal Lease was the top performer. The independent lessor's shares rose 4.2 percent to TND 5. The stock generated weak flows of TND 5,000 during the session. It should be noted that the company will eventually be the target of an optional takeover bid by the investment fund SANAD Fund for MSME-Equity sub-fund II, targeting 22% of the capital of the lessor. Amen Bank was the highlight of the meeting. The share of the financial arm of the Amen Group improved by 2% to TND 33.980, draining exchanges of TND 295,000 or 15% of the trading volume of the rating. Amen Bank was the best performer in the banking sector, rising 37.5% on the stock market. ASSAD was the session's worst performer. The share of the car battery producer registered a correction of 4.9% to TND 0.980. On the session, the value stirred a modest flow of TND 62,000. Shares of Euro-Cycles continued their poor performance. The bicycle manufacturer's share fell by 3.6% to TND 15.140, generating capital of TND 163,000. SOTUVER was the most dynamically traded stock of the session. The glass manufacturer's share fell slightly by 0.8% to TND 12.100, providing the market with a traded volume of TND 303,000.
