The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy is preparing a supplementary dossier to rescue the El Fouledh steel company, which will be presented to a Cabinet meeting in the coming period, said Ahlem Sayeb, Chief of Staff at the Ministry. Answering MPs' questions during a plenary session held by the parliament to examine the budget of the Ministry of Industry, she added that the ministerial department is focusing on finding financing to enable the company to avoid importing raw materials, which requires around TND 300 million in funding. The chief of staff said that the import of solar panels would be subject to prior control, pending the publication of specifications to regulate this operation in order to protect the Tunisian product.
