Tunisian Researcher and Inventor Hayet Omri was nominated for the Arab Women's Council 2023 Golden Shield of Excellence. Omri told TAP on Wednesday she will be honoured at a ceremony which will be held next September 7 in Tunis on the sidelines of the 7th Regional Forum on the theme "Role of Women Leaders in Artificial intelligence" (September 5-8). She also said she takes pride in this recognition which crowns her work and research. She had participated, she said, over the last two years - in her quality as expert with Arab and international organisations- in the development of strategies, policies, programmes and plans in connection to industrial development, scientific research, innovation and technology transfer. The Arab Women's Council said the tribute paid to Omri is an acknowledgement of her exceptional abilities and outstanding contribution in scientific research, in addition to her volunteer work. across the globe in the service of the most lofty objectives of sustainable development. This award reflects the interest which Arab countries countries lend to promoting women and supporting social responsibility activities and the empowerment of Arab women in all sectors. The Arab Women's Council is holding for the 7th time the Golden Shield of Excellence ceremony in Tunis. The event will be held under the auspices of the Arab League, in partnership with the Arab Organisation for Social Responsibility. It will pay tribute to several personalities in a number of areas.
