Fostering partnership between Tunisia and Hungary, notably in fields related to the family and the economic and social empowerment of all its members, took centre stage at a meeting between Minister of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly Amel Belhaj Moussa and Hungary's President Katalin Novák, held Thursday on the sidelines of the 5th Budapest Demographic Summit.
Novák affirmed willingness to foster partnership with Tunisia, recalling the strong ties binding the two countries, reads a ministry press release.
Besides, she pointed out the need to develop family policies and socio-economic and development programmes for Tunisian families.
Moussa underlined on this occasion, the national efforts aimed to step up the State's social role, citing the various programmes designed to economically empower mothers and families.
The 5th Budapest Demographic Summit is organised on September 14-15, under the theme: "Family is the key to security."
