Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, met on Saturday with his Nicaraguan counterpart, Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres, on the sidelines of his participation in the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in the Ugandan capital, Kampala. The two ministers discussed the main issues on the agenda of the Non-Aligned Movement, in particular the Palestinian issue, the promotion of common interests, cooperation, greater openness among the countries of the Movement and the equality of all states, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Nicaraguan minister informed his Tunisian counterpart of the specificities of his country's experience at all levels, political, economic and social. He expressed Nicaragua's desire to develop its relations with Tunisia and invited Minister Nabil Ammar to visit his country. For his part, Nabil Ammar stressed Tunisia's openness to establishing partnerships and strengthening cooperation with various brotherly and friendly countries, including those in the Americas. In this regard, he stressed the importance of multilateral forums, such as the Non-Aligned Movement, in strengthening bilateral relations. Nabil Ammar also spoke about the just Palestinian cause and the need for continued international pressure to stop the aggression and end the occupation of the Palestinian land.
