Tunisia to participate in 44th session of AU Executive Council on February 14 and 15 in Addis Ababa

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, will lead the Tunisian delegation to the 44th session of the Executive Council of the African Union scheduled in Addis Ababa from February 14 to 15. The meeting is part of the preparation of the 37th Summit of the African Union, scheduled for February 17 and 18 in Addis Ababa, reads a statement of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Foreign ministers from AU member countries will discuss priority issues for the continent, the same source adds. «They will be called upon to examine the evolution of the political, economic and humanitarian situation, as well as the peace and security situation on the continent.» The 44th session of the AU Executive Council will also discuss the future of the pan-African organization, as well as ways to strengthen common African action and the process of implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area.
