List of members of 5 district councils announced by ISIE

The Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) announced the preliminary results of the elections for the five district councils during a press conference on Wednesday. For the first district, Hichem Dridi from Bizerte governorate, Aymen Dellai from Beja governorate and Abderraouf Klai from Kef governorate were elected to the district council, while the election for Jendouba governorate was postponed. As for the second district council, it includes Nabil Ben Ammar from Tunis governorate, Salma Mannai from Ariana governorate, Amina Harbaoui from Ben Arous governorate, Dhiaa Hadj Amor from Zaghouan governorate, Youssef Balghouthi from Manouba governorate and Anis Khalfaoui from Nabeul governorate. The third district council includes Ismail Oueslati from Siliana governorate, Hamdi Omran from Sousse governorate, Insaf Bkairi from Kasserine governorate, Ataa Kharroubi from Mahdia governorate, Hedi Mabrouki from Kairouan governorate, while the election in Monastir governorate was postponed due to a challeng e against a candidate. The fourth district council includes Habib Khoudi representing Sidi Bouzid governorate, Sofiene Selmi from Sfax governorate and Mouldi Ben Nsib from Gafsa governorate, while the election in Tozeur governorate has been postponed. In the fifth constituency, Omar Bourchada represents Tataouine governorate, Mohamed Kadri Gabes governorate, Nour Eddine Akrout Medenine governorate and Fathi Belhaj Ali Kebili governorate. Presidential Decree No. 590 of September 21, 2023 provides for the establishment of 5 district councils, 24 regional councils and 279 local councils. Each district has a number of regional councils and each regional council has a number of local councils. The first district includes the governorates of Bizerte, Beja, Jendouba and Kef, while the governorates of the second district are Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous, Zaghouan, Manouba and Nabeul. The governorates of the third district are Siliana, Sousse, Kasserine, Kairouan, Monastir and Mahdia. The fourth district includes To zeur, Sidi Bouzid, Sfax and Kef. The governorates of the fifth district are Tataouine, Gabes, Kebili and Medenine. According to Presidential Decree No. 590, the District Council is convened by the governorates of the district and meets at the governorate headquarters.
