SFAX: A partnership agreement was signed on Wednesday between the University of Sfax and the Adam Mickiewicz University, located in the city of Poznan, Poland, in the presence of head of the cooperation project with Poland, Mohamed Bouaziz, a delegation from the Polish university and a number of deans and senior staff from Sfax faculties. President of the University of Sfax, Abdelwahed Mokni, told TAP this agreement will enable professors, students and administrative staff from universities and faculties in Sfax to visit and meet their Polish counterparts in order to establish exchanges between the two parties and carry out bilateral cooperation projects. This partnership agreement sets out the broad outlines of joint work between the two countries, as part of a new approach that raises bilateral cooperation to a strategic level between faculties and universities, based on openness and diversity of programmes and specialities. Jamila Oueslati, coordinator of the delegation from Adam Mickiewicz University i n Poland, pointed out that another bilateral partnership agreement in the humanities and exact sciences was signed between the two parties in October 2023. That agreement was activated following a visit by the President of the University of Sfax to Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland, she added. The President of the University of Sfax gave four lectures on cultural and linguistic diversity in Tunisia, according to the same source. She added that this partnership agreement between the Faculties of Literature, Languages, Chemistry and Biology of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, and the University of Sfax will further develop cooperation between the two countries.
