Tunis: Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani underlined Tunisia's desire to further strengthen relations and cooperation with the French Development Agency (AFD) in order to achieve development goals. During a meeting with AFD Director General Remy Rioux at the Government Palace in Kasbah on Tuesday, the Prime Minister praised the existing cooperation in many fields with the agency, which has been a privileged partner for development in Tunisia since 1992, according to a statement from the Prime Ministry. For his part, AFD Director General Remy Rioux reaffirmed his institution's commitment to continuing to support Tunisia in the implementation of its priority development programmes in the fields of energy, agriculture, the environment, health, infrastructure, vocational training and education. He also expressed the AFD's willingness to contribute to the financing of projects with economic and social benefits, according to the statement. The meeting was attended by Minister of Economy and Planning, Feryel Ouerghi S ebai, French Ambassador to Tunisia, Anne Guéguen, AFD Regional Director for Eurasia, Cécile Couprie, and AFD Country Director for Tunisia, Yazid Safir.
