The Regional English Language Office for Central Africa (RELO) launched an English learning program on Thursday, September 19, at the CEPAS center in Kinshasa.
At the initiative of the American Embassy, ??this project aims to help young people improve their mastery of the English language and promote cultural exchanges.
The Deputy Chief of Mission of the American Embassy in the DRC, Susan Teller explained that the language of Shakespeare plays an important role in building a bridge between people and facilitates the sharing of ideas, values ??and aspirations.
For the coordinator of languages ??and education at the American embassy in the DRC, Raj Radjabu, the objective pursued by this program is to give young people the opportunity to learn English.
” We are in a world where the importance of English is no longer in doubt. Not only for speaking, but it certainly facilitates contacts and exchanges between citizens of different countries, but also in the world of education and research ,” he suggested.

r his part, Biyata Mayamba Platini, an English teacher, praised the merits of new technologies in learning English via artificial intelligence.
English training begins on September 30 in various American cultural centers in Kinshasa.
