The Bui Power Authority has supported this year's Asogli Te Za (yam festival). Madam Jemima Fayah, Deputy CEO in charge of finance led a team made of some heads of the Authority to the Asogli palace on Friday, where Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbogbomefia was sitting in state. She presented a ram, assorted drinks and a cash amount of GHC 10,000 to aid the popular festival. The Deputy CEO extended felicitations from Mr. Samuel Kofi Dzamesi, the CEO whom she represented, recognising Togbe Afede's contributions towards the nation's development. Other corporate organizations' that supported the festival include the State Insurance Company (SIC), the Ghana Commercial Bank, and others from across the country. There were also faith-based organisations as well as professional and social groups that paid homage and support. The two major political parties- the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party made appearances and made donations to the festival activities and the Asogli Education Fund. The 2024 Te Za is on the theme: 'Lets Ensure Freedom and Justice for All,' and featured diverse activities over a two-month period. Highlights include women, and youth day celebrations, and anticorruption public event, and a summit of traditional leaders of the Ewe tribe from across West Africa.
