Dear Jean Mensa, I greet you in the name of our lord and Creator, the almighty omnipotent God. I hope this piece finds its way to your gadget either mobile phone or laptop. The holy Bible says in Proverbs 22 'A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold'. The same Bible also in Mark 8:36-37 says 'For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? I am reliably informed that you are a firm believer in the Christian faith and as such you believe in the Bible and its contents. Looking at the current state of affairs in the country in relation to the discrepancies in the voter register for the 2024 elections, I humbly crave your indulgence to reflect on your life and appreciate how the Lord has favoured you. Madam, it is important to leave a legacy on which your descendants and the future generations will be proud of you after you are visited by the angel of death a nd lowered into your grave (an inevitable event in everyone's life). Madam, fear God, remember you are almost 53 years old, which indicates that you have lived more than half of your life on earth, at maximum you have 30 years left on this earth as the Lord says 70 years is the maximum and any extra years above that is a blessing. One day we will all be dead and buried, after which there will be judgment. Madam, can you realistically say that with your actions and inactions at the commission you are leading will you be able to stand before your creator when the time comes? It is very important you don't allow yourself to be used by political actors for their selfish interests when in actual fact they will not and cannot save you when the judgment of the Lord comes upon you. The other day I saw you with a dozen military officers protecting you, I sincerely and honestly felt sad for you. I asked myself, for how long can this lady live like this? Madam, I urge you to reflect on this rhetorical ques tion, remember no condition is permanent. It is never too late to repent and do the right thing as long as you still have life, the peace of this country should not be compromised for the selfish interest of some few. Do not allow yourself to be used as a mechanism for anarchy and upheavals. Madam, fear God and remember the day you will be visited by the angel of death and lowered into your grave. Remember Proverbs 22 and Mark 8:36-37 in all your decisions at the Electoral Commission. A word to the wise is enough. I leave you in peace, Shalom, Salam. Source: Ghana Web
