Candidate for the Bardo local council representing the constituency of Kheznadar Mohamed Karim Laouini undertook "to finalise the process of change in Tunisia and to combat the phenomenon of corruption." Laouini considered in a statement to TAP, that local elections are an important transition in the process of change in the country, starting from local action as the first elements of reform through the selection of candidates who listen to the concerns of the inhabitants. He stressed that local elections are an important step in crowning the process of creating and building the New Tunisia and giving all citizens the opportunity to have effective and direct representation in legislative decisions. His electoral programme includes a review of the high-speed train project, focusing on the reasons why work on it has stalled, as well as the creation of a sports complex. The candidate also pledged to set up a civic enterprise to help create an economic and trade dynamic in the region. The electoral programm e of candidate Mohammed Karim Laouini, an employee of a private company, also includes the creation of a youth club and the stepping up of cultural activities. Laouini is running with another candidate for a seat on the Kheznadar local council.
