Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Mohamed Moez Belhassine held a set of talks with international tourism players, on the sidelines of his participation in the event held by the UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) in Riyadh-Saudi Arabia on September 27-28, to mark World Tourism Day. The meeting with Executive Director of the Saudi Tourism Development Fund Qusai Al-Fakhri, had focused on ways to develop joint investment and boost cooperation between the two countries in the tourism field, the tourism department said on Saturday. He also discussed with CEO of the Italian company MSC Cruises Pier Francesco Vago the possibility of increasing the frequency of cruises operated by this company to Tunisia. The minister also had a meeting with Managing Director of India, Middle East and Africa. IHG® Hotels and Resorts Haitham Mattar, with whom he discussed the investment opportunities offered by Tunisia for this group, which counts more than 6,000 hotel units worldwide. Besides, he examined with CEO of Sommet Education Benoit-Etienne Domenget the possibility of bilateral cooperation in tourism training.
