The Reverend Florence Baidoo, a guest preacher at Priesthood Worship Centre (PWC), Assemblies of God, Tema Community six. has urged Christians to tune their hearts to the purposes of God and not seeking approval from men. She said this during the annual 'festival of deliverance' Sunday service of the church, an event where the church studies the whole book of Esther in the Bible to draw lessons from it, as well as holds fasting, prayers, and other activities to help the congregation grow spiritually. She said humans found themselves weighing opinions and views about them in many instances and advised that Christians must surrender their desire for man's approval and wholeheartedly seek God's approval as it was only God that looked beyond the physical, gave grace to people who seemed undeserved in the eyes of men, and lifted people to higher heights. Judgment, gossiping, back-biting, and others, she added must not be among Christians explaining that the scripture described the Holy Spirit in Exodus 14:15 in personal terms as a person who searches, speaks, teaches, and grieves. Rev. Baidoo added that the Bible attested to the fact that the Holy Spirit possessed the attributes of a deity, which included omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence, and a lot more, which should remind humans that it was God they needed to please. She explained that the attributes of God assured humans that God knew everyone, their condition, and their state of heart, alerting Christians that they could never hide and do evil from God. She mentioned that for human beings to live a fulfilled life on earth, they needed to rely on the Holy Spirit for both physical and spiritual needs. Source: Ghana News Agency
