The successes achieved by Tunisian tennis at continental and international level and the ways to develop it, particularly in terms of infrastructure, as well as the work to face the challenges it faces, were the focus of the meeting that brought together the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, and the new President of the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT), Jean Claude Talon, in Tunis on Monday. During the meeting, the Minister stressed the major role of Tunisian sports diplomacy in improving the image of Tunisia and showcasing its capabilities in the field of sport and tourism. He underlined the State's keenness to take care of sport at various levels and to continue to develop it and enhance its economic and social role. He also expressed the willingness of the Ministry and its structures to support the efforts of the Tunisian Tennis Federation and the Confederation of African Tennis to develop tennis at national and continental levels. The new President of the C AT was accompanied by the former President, Tarek Cherif, and the President of the Tunisian Tennis Federation and member of the Board of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), Salma Mouelhi Guizani. They reviewed the main projects and programmes that the CAT intends to implement in Tunisia and other African countries to promote the sport and increase its popularity and status.
