The two candidates for the next local elections (December 24), in the Gabès-Médina constituency, Taoufik Dbaia and Salah Haddaji in the Haddaj constituency in the Matmata delegation (Gabès Governorate), started their electoral campaign on Tuesday. Candidate Taoufik Dbaia pledged to improve health services, find radical solutions to the problem of industrial pollution as well as anchor the values of local and participatory democracy. Candidate Salah Haddaji promised to speed up the completion of suspended projects such as the local hospital in New Matmata and the specific social housing programme.
