Facilitating Hajj and Umrah procedures for Tunisians and providing them access to the best services was the focus of a meeting held on Monday at the Palace of Carthage between President Kais Saied and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah. Saied highlighted the historic fraternal relations between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed their shared desire to consolidate and diversify them, according to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic. For his part, the Saudi minister said he had conveyed to the President of the Republic the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's gratitude and appreciation for supporting Tunisia's bid to host the Riyadh Expo in 2030 and the FIFA World Cup in 2034. He stressed the importance of streamlining procedures and providing quality services to Tunisian pilgrims, with optimal coordination between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. He added that his visit to Tunisia, which he described as "successful and fruitful", was part of the preparations for the next Hajj season. This is the first visit by a Minister of Hajj and Umrah to Tunisia, he added.
