Tunis: Tunisia's national handball team have been placed in Group B in the IHF Men's World Championship 2025, which will be held in Denmark, Norway and Croatia from January 14 to February 2, following Wednesday's draw in Zagreb. Tunisia will play alongside Denmark, the reigning world champions, Italy and Algeria. Group B matches will be played in Herning, Denmark. The Maghreb derby between Tunisia and Algeria promises to be a fierce battle for a place in the second round of the competition. Egypt, the reigning African champions, have been drawn in Group H with Croatia, Argentina and Bahrain. Africa's fourth representative, Guinea, who have qualified for the first time in their history, will play alongside Hungary in Group D. The fifth African team, Cape Verde, have been drawn in Group G alongside Slovenia and Iceland. The 32 teams that qualified for the World Championship 2025 have been divided into eight groups of four. At the end of the group stage, the top three teams in each group will qualify for the main round. Tunisia finished third behind hosts Egypt and Algeria at the last African Nations Championship in January.
