Ms Fatou Diallo Ndiaye, the Chief of Mission for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ghana, has commended Henry Quartey, the Interior Minister for his exemplary leadership in migration management in Ghana. She briefed the Minister on various programmes and initiatives undertaken by IOM in collaboration with the Migration Unit at the Ministry of the Interior and other Agencies under the Ministry. She made these remarks when she led a delegation to pay a courtesy call to the Minister at his office in Accra. The meeting reinforced the strong partnership between the Government of Ghana and IOM in addressing migration-related issues. The courtesy call also demonstrates the excellent working relationship between the Ministry of the Interior and IOM Ghana and their shared dedication to promoting sustainable migration management in Ghana. The Chief of Mission said there had been significant progress in managing migration flows, protecting migrants' rights, and promoting sustainable developmen t. She expressed appreciation for the strong partnership and collaboration with the Ministry, which has facilitated effective migration management in Ghana. Mr Quartey expressed his gratitude to IOM Ghana for their unwavering support and collaboration in addressing migration challenges in Ghana. He emphasised Ghana's commitment to working closely with IOM to strengthen migration-related policies and programmes. The Minister acknowledged the crucial role IOM played in helping Ghana develop its National Migration Policy.
