President of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) Farouk Bouasker announced that the presidential election will be held at home on October 6, 2024, in accordance with the writ for the election issued by President Kais Saied. The presidential elections for Tunisians abroad will be held on October 4, 5 and 6 October 2024, he said during a press conference on Thursday at the ISIE branch in the capital, noting that automatic registration of voters at home and abroad will be adopted for everyone who will reach the age of 18 on October 5, 2024 He pointed out that the updating of polling stations and registration will be from July 8 to July 22, 2024, announcing that the Electoral Commission will open the door for accepting candidacies on July 29, at 8:00 am until August 6, 2024 at 6:00 pm. Bouasker said that the electoral campaign will start on September 14, 2024 and run until October 4, 2024 at midnight, and the campaign abroad will start on September 12, 2024 and run until October 2, 2024. He no ted that the announcement of the preliminary results of the presidential elections will be on October 9, 2024 and the announcement of the final results on November 9, 2024, noting that a second round, if any, between the candidates with the highest number of votes, will be held during the two weeks following the announcement of the final results.
