The role of polling agencies in Tunisia was the subject of a study day organised by the Independent High Electoral Authority (ISIE) in Tunis on Monday. The meeting was organised in application of articles 70, 156 and 172 of the electoral code. It focused on the principles governing the work of the electoral institutes and the ethics of the profession, according to a press release issued by the ISIE. It was attended by Farouk Bouasker, president of the ISIE, Nabil BelaSm, president of the Chambre nationale syndicale des instituts d'étude de marketing et de sondage d'opinion, and Hassen Zargouni, owner of a polling company.
