Ghanaian Highlife star Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, better known as KK Fosu, has explained the circumstances surrounding his absence at the funeral of blogger Jean Claude Tamakloe. The blogger passed away after a gruesome accident on the Accra-Apam road a few weeks ago, with KK Fosu and Bless sustaining varying degrees of injuries. KK Fosu, who was unable to attend the funeral, has issued a statement in response to the recent public uproar. 'First and foremost, I extend my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. This loss is deeply felt, and my thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time. 'Additionally, I want to clarify some misunderstandings that have arisen. My team intended to attend the one-week observation of the deceased. However, we learned that the family was unhappy with me because they believed their son was travelling with me at the time of the accident. 'Although we were in the same car, that was the first time I saw him or talked to him. This misinformation has caused further pain, and I regret any distress this has caused the family,' he said. KK Fosu expressed his deepest regret for some comments he made during an interview with HITZ FM's Slim Deejay over his absence at the funeral. 'Unfortunately, my emotions got the better of me during the interview, leading to an outburst that I deeply regret. This outburst was fuelled by my feeling that people were not truly concerned about my state of health. 'I understand that my reaction was inappropriate, and I am sincerely sorry for any hurt or distress it caused. I am committed to reaching out personally to the family of the deceased to offer my condolences and support. I hope we can all find a way to heal and move forward together during this challenging time,' he said. KK Fosu also urged the Ghana Police to expedite investigations into the unfortunate accident to ensure that all parties will be amicably appeased. Source: Ghana News Agency
