Libya floods: Tunisian rescue team recovers 23 bodies [Upd 1]

Twenty-three bodies were recovered Friday by the Tunisian rescue team in Libya, said the spokesperson for Civil Protection. Care was provided to one hundred people in a field hospital in the wake of floods caused by a Mediterranean storm on Sunday in the coastal city of Derna, Benghazi, Al-Bayda, Al-Marj and Sousse.

Three doctors flew to Libya as part of the Tunisian rescue and search team.

A military aircraft carrying medical, search and rescue equipment departed on Tuesday evening for Libya.

Thousands of people were killed and many more reported missing.
