11 candidates ran for local elections in the Ettahrir delegation under the Tunis 2 Regional Elections Authority. Local Director of IRIE Tunis 2, Hosni Sahbani, underlined that the candidates (7 men and 4 women) are distributed over the five electoral constituencies falling under the delegation, namely: Ettahrir 1, Ettahrir 2, Ettahrir 3, Ettahrir superior and El Hadika. The candidates are: Wajdi Mejri, Wafa Baraket Dabki, Nadia Khabou, Ali Chérif, Mondher Ben Hassine, Intissar Sliti, Mehrzia Chehibi, Ahmed Kouki, Mohamed Saïdi, Kamel Riahi and Riadh Essid. The number of voters registered in the Ettahrir delegation is around 19,500 voters. Four control observers and a local coordinator are in charge of observing the electoral campaign in the constituencies falling under the Ettahrir delegation. The electoral campaign for the local elections started last Saturday and will continue until December 22.
