Secretary-General of the People's Movement, Zouhair Al-Maghzaoui, said, Sunday in Gabes, that the Gaza battle is different from its predecessors and everyone must be involved in it. «We support the people of Gaza and their heroic resistance and break the silence after the West has lined up behind the Zionist entity. The US chose to participate directly in this assault,» he pointed out. On Sunday, Maghzaoui told journalists as part of a meeting he had with the movement's advocates in the city of Gabes, that «the Palestinian resistance is achieving successive victories. The enemy is facing a real crisis and incurring heavy losses,» adding that «Gazans' firm determination to restore their stolen lands will resolve the displacement issue,» reiterating that «this war will change the world order.» According to him, the Palestinian resistance represents the spearhead against hegemony, asserting that «the project of nations who fight for freedom will triumph at the end.» He pointed out that the battle of Gaza is the Ummah's battle and concerns all Muslims and all free people around the world. He emphasized that the role of the People's Movement is to support the people of Gaza and their resistance, criminalize normalization as well as exercise pressure on regimes to open the crossings. Regarding the draft law criminalizing normalization, Maghzaoui emphasized that there is a clear violation of the law and the internal regulations of the Assembly of People's Representatives, adding that «this would not have happened if the law had been respected,» hinting to a set of wrong calculations. The Secretary-General of the People's Movement explained that the parliament Speaker refused to pass the law criminalizing normalization and «there is a minority of MPs in the parliament who seek to impose their position on everyone,» underscoring «that the President of the Republic made it clear when he said that the House has its prerogatives.» Maghzaoui called for delaying the elections of the local council because of what is taking place in Tunisia and in the Gaza strip. «This will greatly impact Tunisian citizens' participation in the elections,» he said.
