Saudi Arabia's Minister of Finance, Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan indicated on Thursday, during his meeting with President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, that his country (Saudi Arabia) will continue its cooperation with Tunisia and that other meetings will be held in the coming weeks to grant additional support from the Saudi Development Fund and other funds of the Kingdom.
The meeting between Al-Jadaan and the President of the Republic provided an opportunity to review the historic relations of brotherhood and cooperation between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, as well as the two countries' determination to strengthen these strong ties and open up new prospects in the interests of both countries, says a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
An agreement for a loan on preferential terms of 400 million dollars (around 1,200 MD) and a grant of 100 million dollars (around 300 MD) to support the State budget was signed on Thursday between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was signed at the Government Palace in Kasbah by the Tunisian Finance Minister, Sihem Namsia, and her Saudi counterpart, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, in the presence of Prime Minister Najla Bouden.
