Ministers of Agriculture and Economy call for removing obstacles hindering projects funded by foreign contributions

During a joint working session, held, on Monday, in Tunis, Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries, Abdel Moneim Belati, and Minister of Economy and Planning, Feryel Ouerghi, stressed the need to remove any obstacles that might slow down the implementation of ongoing large scale projects funded by foreign contributions. The session shed light on the progress of these projects within the framework of bilateral and multilateral international cooperation as well as the need to increase coordination between all overlapping structures so as to overcome any existing difficulties and speed up the completion of these projects. «These projects are of paramount importance and a top priority in Tunisia due to their economic and social returns, particularly in consolidating the sector's infrastructure,» reads a statement of the Ministry of Agriculture. «These projects cover a number of key areas, especially drinking water, grains, irrigated areas, forests, integrated agricultural development, seawater d esalination, as well as the construction and preparation of dams,» the same soure said.
