Tunis: Tunisian pilgrims who went missing in the holy places have been found, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad said on Monday. "The Tunisian Consulate General in Jeddah, in cooperation with the Tunisian Embassy in Riyadh, the Tunisian medical delegation and the Société Des Services Nationaux Et Des Résidence, managed to find missing Tunisian pilgrims," a ministry statement said. Search operations are still underway in coordination with the Saudi authorities to find other missing pilgrims who disappeared during the performance of Hajj rites, the same source said. The Foreign Ministry said it was closely monitoring the situation of the 24 pilgrims hospitalised in Makkah, Jeddah and Taif. The ministry also stressed that the consulate general has issued passes to pilgrims who lost their passports to facilitate their return to Tunisia. Earlier today, the Tunisian Consulate General in Jeddah announced that the number of Tunisian pilgrims who died while performing the rites of Haj j 2024 stands at 60.
