Mr William Nawugma, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Nkwanta North in the Oti Region, has called for the establishment of a branch of GCB Bank in the district to serve the needs of citizens. He said there were vast business opportunities available in the area, which could boost economic growth for residents and the Bank. Mr. Nawugma made the appeal during a courtesy call on him by the Ho Area Manager of the Bank, Mr Samuel Atopley and Mr Theophilius K. Quartey, Nkwanta South Branch Manager. He said the district was a thriving agricultural hub with immense economic potential hence the establishment of the bank would not only provide conveniences to the residents but also unlock business opportunities. Mr. Nawugma assured the Bank of the district's support and cooperation, offering land for the construction, streamlining regulatory processes and collaboration with local stakeholders. The DCE and the Bank officials conducted a familiarization tour of the Kpassa market and interacted with the traders to gauge economic opportunities as well as their challenges.
