Prime Minister chairs working session on launch of International Diplomatic Academy

The International Diplomatic Academy in Tunisia will officially open in early 2024, it was decided after a working session on its launch chaired by Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani at the Kasbah on Thursday. The meeting continued to review the latest stages of the Academy's inauguration and ways to resolve some of the remaining difficulties, especially at the logistical level, according to a statement issued by the Prime Ministry. It is worth noting that the Academy was established by Government Decree No. 630 of 2019, dated July 24, 2019, on the establishment of the Diplomatic Academy in Tunisia and the regulation of its administrative and financial organisation. The Academy, funded by the Chinese government to the tune of approximately TND 5.88 million, aims to provide training and continuing education for diplomats to keep them abreast of the latest developments in international relations and the requirements of the new diplomacy. The Academy will also train diplomats from other countries. The Cabinet app roved on November 5, 2022 a draft decree on the revision and completion of Government Decree No. 630 of 2019, dated July 24, 2019, on the establishment of the Diplomatic Academy of Tunisia and the regulation of its administrative and financial organisation.
