Scaling up cooperation relations and sharing experience and expertise between Tunisia and Venezuela in the social field took centre stage at a meeting held on Friday evening between Social Affairs Minister Malek Zahi and Deputy Minister for Africa of the People's Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Yuri Pimentel Moura.

Zahi reviewed on the occasion, the ministry's main programmes, notably the programme to combat illiteracy and the programme to empower people with disabilities, according to a Ministry press release.

He pointed out the need to build on the Venezuelan "EL Sistema" programme, which helps children with social or family problems through intensive musical education.

The Venezuelan official affirmed his country's willingness to develop cooperation relations with Tunisia in the social field.

The two sides reiterated in another connection, their full solidarity with the Palestinian people under attack from the Zionist entity.
