The 1st North-African Ecological Forum on the "Sustainable Management of Natural Ecosystems for An Ecological Transition: Act before Suffering!," will be hosted by Sfax city on September 12-16. The forum will be organised under the aegis of the Environment Ministry at the initiative of the Association of Continuity of Generations (ACG) and the RONACED Network. A host of experts, researchers, representatives of international environmental organisations and civil society activists from Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Libya and Tunisia will share on the occasion their experiences on environmental issues and the most appropriate methods and techniques for addressing the climate change ecological challenges. "A development approach geared to climate change is crucial to address disasters and ensure rational management of natural resources to protect ecosystems and combat pollution, so as to shift towards a circular economy," Forum President Sana Taktak Keskes considered. The forum aims to establish a platform where stakeholders from North African countries and the Mediterranean can interact, exchnage experiences, and discuss issues related to the ecological transition in natural ecosystems as well as effective governance practices.
