Mr Amewu said they were positive that the identified players from the various teams would have the opportunity to progress their careers in Europe and be worthy ambassadors of the constituency and Ghana as a whole. He said with the visiting scouts, they had started the process of establishing an academy and a youth team based on foot ballers in Hohoe. 'Hohoe has been blessed with a lot of great footballers from the past and I plan to birth a new generation of even greater footballers.' Mr Amewu said their charge as leaders was to be a springboard for the people while their duty as political leaders was to accelerate the potential of followers. Mr Edem Kofi Ansah, CEO, Hohoe United FC, said the scouting tournament was designed to bridge the gap between the demand that European football clubs had for African talents. He said there was abundance of talents in Hohoe, Volta, Ghana and Africa hence the scouts embarking on such a talent hunt was commendable.
