Exports of the textile and clothing (TH) sector increased by 7%, at the end of November 2023, compared to the same period of the past year, to reach 8,864 million dinars, according to data published, Thursday, by the Ministry of trade, Mines and Energy. The coverage rate reached 131%. The value of exports at the end of November 2023 exceeded by 25.31% that recorded in 2019 (7,074.1 million dinars), i.e. prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the same source says. Regarding exports of trousers, which represent 27% of the textile and clothing sector, their value recorded a decrease of 0.88% compared to the end of November 2022, amounting to 19990.6 million dinars . Ready-to-wear exports to the European Union increased by 5.45% compared to the end of November 2022, reaching pound 2,106 million. They represent 80% of the sector's exports.
